Can you go out of city limits?
We will travel anywhere you require, within Ontario/Quebec (other locations upon request). Call must begin or end within Quinte West. Calls out of city limits must be paid for up front at pickup or pre paid ahead of time.
Can I get picked up at a specific time?
While we do allow for time calls, dispatch will give guidance as to whether or the specific time required is possible for us. We may suggest an earlier/later time if possible. We have many contracts that require prompt service i.e. hospital lab runs.
How much does a Taxi cost?
Within city limits the taxi is on a meter meaning the start price is $7 and goes up based on time and distance. Out of town calls such as Belleville are based on a “flat rate” $25-$30 depending on where you’re going. If you require a quote, please call or email us!
What happens if I loose something in the taxi?
While we do not accept responsibility for any lost/stolen items, any items found in our taxi are turned into office or the police station.
What are wait times like?
Wait times within our community can vary from 5 minutes to 1 hour (or possibly greater).
High volume times are generally early morning from 6am - 9am (0600-0900), as well as 3pm - 6pm (1500-1800), as well as 12am - 2am (1200-0200) during the weekend.
Planning ahead and being patient during these times is greatly appreciated.
How does one become a taxi driver?
To become a taxi driver with ABC Taxi, you must register with the Quinte West OPP detachment as well as obtain a police check/vulnerable sector search with your local police force, depending on your address.
